Movin' up in the world

Taking down the toddler bed
Putting the new bed together
What are they doing to my room?!

Even Buster has found a new place to relax during the day

We've been thinking for a while now that it is about time to move Molly out of her toddler bed and into a big girl bed (twin size that is). I've also wanted matching furniture (or at least cuter furniture) for the girls' room ever since we've moved. Of course, those tend to be the things that aren't high on the priority list. But, this weekend we were blessed (once again) by some generous friends. They gave us their daughter's bedroom set as she has grown out of it. The first installment was a new bed for Molly and a bedside table. We will be picking up a dresser and toy box in a few days.

Molly is so excited about her new bed. She and Eric put it together last night, and then we all made a trip to Target to pick out new sheets. (A matching quilt will be coming soon...possibly a birthday present.) Ellie is still sleeping in her crib (hopefully for a while longer), but the toddler bed will be awaiting her. This is just another reminder of how quick they are growing up...Molly did look so big sleeping in her big bed last night.

Hi from Grandma Mitts,

Molly, you have a beautiful bed and you are a beautiful granddaughter!

Ellie, I really liked your picture as well. Perhaps you can get to sleep in that very bed someday, yourself!

Buster, you are remarkable...I really don't have words to describe you!!
