Popsicles!

Ellie experienced her first popsicle a couple of weeks ago. Wow...it was a sticky experience! She had to go right into the bathtub after that. She really enjoyed it though...although it was a bit cold! I love the facial expression in that last photo : )

Popsicles are a part of good summer fun. I have to remind myself of that though because I don't like to be messy, and I struggle with letting my kids get messy. I've gotten better about this...realizing that being messy is just part of being a kid. I really do have to make an effort to just let it go and realize that I have a bathtub, washing machine, soap, etc. It is worth the effort of the clean-up for them to have some fun and explore their world. The popsicles must be eaten outside though...
