Somehow Molly and I got into a conversation today about God's laws. She asked more about these laws (or rules), so I started telling her about some of the ten commandments. I showed her where they were written in the Bible and especially emphasized the one about honoring your father and mother : ) When we got to "Do not covet", I begin to explain in 3-year-old terms what that meant. I told her that we should not be jealous of what others have or always be wanting those things. We need to be thankful for all that God has given us. Her reply...
"And also for what Santa has given us."
At that point I just agreed, and we moved on...love that little mind at work : )
