The girls and I (and Eric on the weekends) have been spending a lot of time at the pool during the last few weeks. It is a great activity because it is fun for everyone and wears the girls out for good naps and quiet time later in the day. We have several different pools that we frequent depending on the day and who we are going with. There is a pool near our home that isn't too busy and is just a fun place to play around. Then, when we are feeling really adventurous, there is the pool shown above. This pool is filled with all sorts of fun things...a baby pool, a water playground, a lazy river, and several slides. Molly really likes to go on the lazy river...Ellie thinks all of that is okay, but she is really content just to splash around in the baby pool. The best part is that it only costs $5 for us to get in because both girls are still free! It has been fun to watch Molly become more comfortable swimming and going under water this summer. As you can see, she really feels like a big girl with her cool new goggles too! I think we will miss the pool when fall hits, but I know there are always fun things to do that time of year too. Somehow, even though summer is one of my favorite times of year, I'm always ready for the next season by the time it arrives...I think that is one of the reasons I love where we live...we get to experience it all!
